Caring for Kids First Aid Training Course

The Caring for Kids First Aid Training Course is a non-accredited course designed to give parents, grandparents and carers of young children (up to the age of 12) a well-rounded and hands-on learning experience. The course is delivered in a relaxed environment without assessments and covers topics including managing unconsciousness, bleeding, choking, burns, respiratory distress and anaphylaxis, with extra time set aside for questions or topics you might wish to discuss further.

Provide an emergency first aid response in an education and care setting (HLTAID004)

This is an accredited first aid course designed for teachers, educators and support staff, childcare providers and babysitters. The course is designed to give you the necessary skills and knowledge to provide first aid to infants, children and adults with a specific focus on those working within an education or care setting. This course requires that you complete an online learning assessment and 1 day of practical training.

First aid for babies and children

This is a non-accredited short course suitable for babysitters, parents, grandparents and carers who want to learn essential first aid skills that could prove useful in case of emergency. The course covers common child related injuries and illnesses and is not assessed. Upon completion, you will receive a Certificate of Participation.

First Aid Course for Teachers and Carers (HLTAID004)

This is an accredited first aid course suitable for teachers, parents and carers (including babysitters). There are no prerequisites required, and the course is completed over a 2 day period (either entirely in the classroom or blended with one day in the classroom and 4-5 hours of online theory). This course is designed to give participants the skills and knowledge to deliver first aid response and life support in emergency situations.
