Start The New Term Right With These Three Tips

The break is almost over, but are you ready to start the new term? Here are some tips to make sure you are prepared for whatever is to come!

Check your school supplies

Being prepared for even the smaller stuff can help you feel less worried about going back to school. Make an inventory of your school supplies and check what you need more of, what needs to be fixed, what is still new...Does your pen still have ink? Are your pencils sharpened? Are your markers working?

Look back at the term before

Think about how the school year has been going so far, what subjects you are still struggling with, which ones you’ve made progress on, the goals you achieved… ask yourself: what am I doing well? What do I need to still work on?

We have made a template to help you with this, download it here!

Set a realistic goal

Decide on something you want to achieve by the end of the term. Be realistic and make a list of steps that will get you where you want.
For example, if your goal is to be better at maths, this is what your list could look like:

Hopefully, these tips will help you be organized and set realistic expectations for yourself. However, always remember: there's only so much you can prepare, don't worry if things don't always go according to plan!
