Dear babysitter, Please meet our family! We are the Dore family: parents Brendan and Bec and our two children Ariella aged 4 and Levi aged 3. Rebecca is a Human Resources Business Partner in Wollongong. Her hours are Monday – Friday although Friday is only a half day and Wednesday is 8-3.30pm. Brendan works in the mining industry as a ‘fly in fly out worker’ to Western Australia. His roster is an even time roster meaning he spends an even time between work and home. It's usually 7 days on and 7 days off roster (Tuesday morning - Wednesday night the following week). Variations in Brendan's roster combined with Bec's full time work means that we often need a babysitter to help us out. Our kids Ariella and Levi are of the ages 4 and 3 years old. They are both really energetic, happy and funny. Sometimes Ari and Levi can be inflexible and explosive and they need someone who will help them stay calm, self-regulate and to carry out collaborative problem solving to get the best results in terms of their behaviour. Like most siblings close in age they do fight with each other regularly. Ariella is super sociable. She walks up to groups of girls and introduces herself to make friends. She picks flowers along walks she is also very expressive and outgoing and loves to make friends with new people. Levi is very sweet and very athletic for his age, he likes sorting things and playing with lego. They both like art. At home our baby sitters help them with painting, chalk drawing, picking flowers in the yard, playing hide and seek or duck duck goose. They love it when you play with them rather than just watching or being on your phone. They have passes for the Science Centre and we have playgrounds and the beach walking distance. We live on Gipps street close to the beach so there is plenty of activities to do close to our house. Our kids are energetic kids and are really open and sweet. We need help baby sitting often on Wednesdays, Fridays and also occasional weekends and evenings for social events. Bec & Brendan
